Terms of Service
In effect from September 28, 2026.
These terms are the agreement between you and STRYV Creative LLC for STRYV Local. We have tried to write them the way we would explain them across a counter. If anything is unclear, ask us before you sign up.
1. Who we are, and who you are
STRYV Local is run by STRYV Creative LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company ("STRYV", "we", "us"). "You" means the person who signs up and the business they sign up for. If you sign up for a business, you confirm you are allowed to act for it.
2. What STRYV Local is
STRYV Local is a website management and hosting service. We build a website for your business, host it, keep it up to date when you ask us to, and give you a panel at my.stryv.host where you check facts, send change requests, see simple visitor counts and manage your plan.
It is a service, not a sale. You are paying for us to run and look after your site, not buying the site's files, our template, our tools or the panel. If you want to keep your site's files, see section 9.
3. The first version of your site
We may build the first version of your site before you ask for it, from public information about your business: for example your existing website, your listings and your signs. We send it to you as a private preview.
Before your site goes live, you check it. The panel lists the facts we were not sure about (hours, phone, address, services, photos and the like), and you mark each one right or tell us what to change. Nothing goes live until you have answered every one. By confirming, you tell us the facts are accurate and that you have the right to use the photos and words on the site (section 8).
Previews are for looking at, not for using. A preview is licensed only to the business it was made for, only to evaluate it, and only at the address we send. Until a plan starts, the design, code and layout are STRYV Creative's work: the facts and photos that came from your business stay yours, but the preview may not be copied, downloaded to be put online elsewhere, re-hosted or used as a website, by you or anyone else. Previews carry markers that identify the business they were made for, and a preview opened on another address shows a notice instead of the site and tells us where it was seen. If you want the site, start a plan; if you want the files themselves, see section 9.
If we host a site you made (Host your site)
On the Host plan you give us your own site's files instead of us building one. You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything in them: every word, photo, font, script and piece of code. We serve plain files only (pages, styles, scripts, images, fonts and documents; not audio or video files); we do not run server code, databases or WordPress. We check every upload before it is served and may refuse it, or take down files already served, if they are unsafe, unlawful, break the acceptable use rules in these terms, or put our service or other customers at risk. We add a few lines to each page we serve, to count visits and taps for your panel, to show your notice bar when you set one, and once your site is live, for Google Analytics, a small "Privacy" link to our privacy policy at the foot of each page, and a canonical link; we change nothing else in your files. Changes to your content are not included: you can upload new files at any time, or ask us to make a change as an extra request. The Host plan has no free trial and does not include a new domain.
4. Plans
Each plan is billed month to month, or yearly for the price of ten months.
| Plan | Price | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $25 a month or $250 a year |
|
| Standard | $50 a month or $500 a year |
|
| Plus | $75 a month or $750 a year |
|
Pages. Whatever we showed you is what you get, on any plan: your site keeps every page of the version you checked and confirmed, and we never cut it down to fit a plan. The page counts above are room for new pages you ask for later.
We may also offer a seasonal pause for a small monthly amount, set up by us on request: your site stays up with a line saying you are back soon, and you resume when you are ready.
The free plan. We may offer a free plan to a business we built a preview for. It is one page (the home page of the site we built) at a stryv.host address, with a small "Powered by STRYV" link at the foot of the page. It does not include your own domain, email at a domain, forms, change requests (a change is $25, paid by card before we start), the monthly report, Google Business Profile upkeep, the print kit or the notice bar, and it comes with no support beyond checking the facts before it goes live. If no one signs in to the site's panel for 12 months, we email to ask whether you still want it; if we do not hear back within 30 days, we may take the site down, and we keep its records. You can move to a paid plan at any time. A free site that moves to a paid plan starts paying straight away, without the free trial.
We may change our prices. We will email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and it applies from your next billing period (your next month, or your next year on a yearly plan), never to a period you have already paid for. If you do not want to pay the new price, you can cancel before then.
5. Free trial, billing and payment
A site's first plan starts with a free month. Your plan starts at checkout, and so does the free month, whether or not your site is live yet. We take a card at checkout and charge nothing for the plan until the free time ends. We email you 7 days and 2 days before the first charge. Cancel before then and you pay nothing. Each site gets one free trial.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Plans are paid in advance at the start of each month or year and renew on their own until you cancel. Your invoices and receipts are reached from the billing page of the panel.
If a payment fails, we tell you by email and Stripe tries the card again over the following days. Your site stays up while it does. If the payment still cannot be taken, the plan ends and your site comes down as if you had cancelled. We keep its records, and you can start a plan again at any time to bring it back.
Referrals. A business that signs up with another customer's referral link or code gets its first paid month free. Once it has made its first payment, the customer who referred it gets one month of their own plan credited to their account. Credits come off future bills, have no cash value and are not refunded. Up to 12 referrals a year count per customer. A referral between the same business, owners, email domain, billing account or card does not count, and we can cancel a referral that looks like misuse.
6. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel any time from the billing page in the panel. There is no contract and no cancellation fee.
You can switch between Starter, Standard and Plus, monthly or yearly, from the same page. Stripe works out the difference for the rest of the period.
- Monthly plans: your site runs to the end of the month you have paid for, then comes down. There is no refund for the rest of that month.
- Yearly plans: if you cancel within 30 days of your first yearly payment, we refund it in full. Your plan ends, and your site comes down, when we make the refund. If we registered a new domain for you in those 30 days, we refund the yearly price less what the domain cost to register, and the domain is yours to take (section 10). After 30 days there is no refund: your site runs to the end of the year you have paid for. You can turn off renewal at any time, and your plan then ends at the end of that year. The 30 days apply to your first yearly payment, not to a renewal.
- A plan cancelled during its free trial is never charged for the plan, so there is nothing to refund. The change requests your plan includes are free during the free trial, as they are afterwards. Extra change requests beyond what your plan includes are $25 each (section 7), and they are charged even if you cancel during the free trial.
- If we end the service because a site or request breaks the rules in section 12, there is no refund.
7. Change requests
Your plan includes a number of change requests each month or quarter, shown in the table above and on the Requests page of the panel. A request is one change you can describe in a sentence or two: new hours, a new photo, a price, a line of text. Allowances run by calendar month or quarter, and requests you do not use do not carry over.
A request beyond your plan's allowance costs $25. The panel tells you when a request would be extra, before you send it, and the $25 is added to your next invoice. Bigger work, such as a redesign, is quoted separately and only done if you agree to the quote.
A new page counts as one request while your plan has room for it. A new page beyond your plan's pages (on Starter, beyond the pages we built) does not use a request and is not charged $25: we reply with a quote, or with the plan that has room for it, and do nothing until you choose.
We aim to finish each request within the turnaround for your plan. It is a goal, not a guarantee.
8. Your content
Your business's name, logo, text, photos and other material you give us, or confirm for your site, stay yours. You give us permission to use, copy, resize, edit and publish that material to build, host and run your site and to run STRYV Local for you, for as long as you are a customer and for as long as we need afterwards to wind things down.
You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything you give us or confirm for your site, and that it is accurate and lawful. If someone tells us your site uses their material without permission, we may take it down while it is sorted out. If a claim is made against STRYV because material you gave us or confirmed for your site infringes someone's rights, you agree to cover STRYV's reasonable costs of dealing with that claim.
The design, layout, code, template and tools we use to make your site, and the panel itself, belong to STRYV. You may use them through STRYV Local while you are a customer.
Once your site is live, we may show it, or a picture of it, as an example of our work. If you would rather we did not, tell us at any time and we will stop.
9. Buying your site's files
If you want a copy of your site's files, ask us and we will send you a link to buy them, for a one-time $500. This is custom work: we prepare and send the files for your site.
The files are the static website as built: its pages, styles, images and fonts, ready to put on any web host. They are not the panel, not hosting, not your domain, and not future changes or support. Features that depend on our service, such as forms sent to your panel and visitor counts, will not work on another host without changes. Buying the files does not cancel your plan; your plan carries on until you cancel it.
Once paid, you may keep, change and host the files for your own business. You may not sell them, or use the design or template to make a website for another business.
10. Your web address and domains
Every plan includes a name under stryv.host (for example yourname.stryv.host), and your site can be at a domain you already own instead. On Standard and Plus, if you do not have a domain, we register a new one for you.
A domain you already own. You keep it at your own registrar and pay for it there, and we connect it. You point it at your site with the two records the panel shows you, and we serve your site on it. Keeping it registered and its records in place is up to you: if it lapses or its records change, your site goes back to its stryv.host address, and we are not responsible for the domain.
Moving your domain to us. We only do this if you ask for it; otherwise a domain you already own stays with you, at your registrar. If you ask, on Standard or Plus, we can transfer it into STRYV's account and look after it as your plan's included domain. From then on it is registered in STRYV's name like a domain we registered (below), we pay its renewals while your plan includes a domain, and the same rule applies when you leave. Any fee your current registrar charges to let it go is yours.
A new domain we register. If you do not have a domain, Standard and Plus include one new domain at a standard price. On a monthly plan we register the new domain once your first payment has gone through; until then your site runs at its stryv.host address, or at a domain you already own. We register it in STRYV's name, STRYV is every contact on it (registrant, admin, technical and billing), and we pay the renewal while your plan includes a domain. We do not use a privacy service, so the public record shows STRYV, not you. We may decline a name, for example a premium-priced one.
Email at your domain. On plans that include it, email sent to addresses at your domain is forwarded to you while your plan includes it, and it stops when your plan stops including it. If you cancel, or move to a plan without it, at the end of your paid period, it stops at the end of that period. If a cancellation or a move to a plan without it takes effect straight away, it stops then. If your plan ends because a payment could not be taken, it stops when the plan ends. We email you when a stop is set for a later date, and again when it stops. The 30 days for moving a domain (below) do not keep email running.
When you leave, or move to Starter. A domain we registered for you, or moved into our account for you, is yours to take, free. Ask us within 30 days of your plan ending (or of moving to Starter) and we will unlock it and give you its transfer code, by hand, so you can move it to the registrar of your choice. Any fee that registrar charges is yours. Registrars usually do not allow a move in the first 60 days after a domain is registered or transferred; if yours is in that window, we move it as soon as it can go. If you do not ask within 30 days, we may let the domain lapse, and we do not renew it for you after that.
11. Forms on your site
On Standard, one form; on Plus, up to three. Forms are things like contact and quote requests. What visitors send is stored in your panel under Submissions and emailed to the owners on your account. Entries that look like spam are kept apart and not emailed.
You decide what the forms ask for and what you do with the answers. Do not use them to collect card numbers, passwords, health details or similar sensitive information. Forms only work while your site is live on a plan that includes them, and only as many as your plan includes: after a move to a smaller plan, the forms beyond its number stop taking messages.
12. Acceptable use
Your site and your requests must not:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- use someone else's material, name or trademarks without permission;
- mislead people, including made-up reviews, testimonials or endorsements;
- carry malware, spam, phishing or anything meant to harm visitors or our systems;
- hold adult content, hate, harassment or threats.
If a site or request breaks these rules, we may refuse the request, change or remove the content, or pause the site, and we will tell you why. If it is serious or keeps happening, we may end the service, with no refund.
Fair use. Every plan covers a normal website for a local business. We do not host video or very large files: put videos on YouTube or Vimeo and we will show them on your site. If a site's traffic or files grow far beyond typical use, we will talk with you first about a plan or an add-on that fits, and we will not take a site down for it without warning.
13. What we promise, and what we do not
We work to keep your site up, fast and secure, and to fix problems quickly when they happen. We do not promise that it will never be down: hosting depends on other companies and on the internet itself, and we sometimes need to do maintenance.
We do not promise search rankings, visitors, calls, bookings, sales or any other result. The visitor counts in your panel are counts of taps and visits; they can miss some and should be read as a guide.
We keep the files your site is built from, so we can rebuild it.
14. Limits on our responsibility
Apart from what these terms say, the service is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for lost business, lost profits or indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us for STRYV Local in the twelve months before the claim.
15. When we can end the service
We can stop offering STRYV Local, or stop serving a particular site, with at least 30 days' notice by email. If we do, and it is not because of a breach of these terms, we will refund any part of a yearly plan you have paid for and will not get, and we will offer you your site's files and a move of any domain we registered for you, free of charge.
16. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania. If you have a problem with STRYV Local, please email us first and give us 30 days to try to put it right. If we cannot settle it that way, any dispute will be heard in the courts of York County, Pennsylvania.
17. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We will email you at least 30 days before a change that affects you takes effect, and post the new version here. If you do not agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.
